Community Personnel Services (CPS)
is CARF accredited to provide transition services to graduating students.

We are committed to empowering transitioning students to achieve their full potential as they prepare for a productive life following graduation. CPS staff assists students to access services from state and federal agencies, including DDD, DVRS, and Social Security Administration.  CPS provides assistance with accessing transportation services in the student’s community. 

CPS provides students with job sampling opportunities based on skills, abilities and interests prior to graduation.  We assist graduates identify employment preferences and pursue employment opportunities in their community.  For students who are not ready for employment, our staff arranges tours of programs and assistance identifying funding sources.  For students who want to continue their education, CPS staff assists the student and family identify prospective academic institutions to meet the student’s needs. 

  CPS Works For You

 

In 2004 CPS started “CPS Works For You”, a complement to the ECLC Extended School Year program.  This innovative program provides students with valuable and enjoyable hands-on vocational learning experiences. The program gives the students an opportunity to participate in tours, meet employers and “kick off” their graduation year!
